ELSHOUT – The former KWPN approved Stallion Andretti (Special D x Sandro Hit) has been sold to Signature Performance Sporthorses in Las Vegas, Nevada. The black 11 year old, who was gelded last year, has been competing successfully at Small Tour Level in Holland and Belgium by Anky van Grunsven student Jorinde Verwimp.
Bred by C. De Kreij from Giessenburg, Andretti has had a very successful dressage career, winning the KWPN Stallion Competition at L level 2010 in Holland and competing successfully in the PAVO Cup and Winner Bronze at the KWPN Stallion Competition 2011. He has had plus 70% scores in all his national and international recent Small Tour/Inter I competitions. Andretti has also produced a large number of successful offspring over the years. Recently in February, two sons of Andretti were licensed as Stallions with the Dutch NRPS Studbook.
Anky van Grunsven acquired the half-share of the Stallion in 2013 from I.P.S. Stallion Group. Andretti has been based with International rider Joyce Lenaerts in Leende for the last 4 months. The sale of Andretti was made possible by Joyce Lenaerts and agent Rebecca Dudley.
Signature Performance Sporthorses, run by Allison Bonanno and Jenifer Zakhary, is a booming training, sales and competition barn specializing in top performance sport horses. Andretti will continue his career being ridden by Jenifer with help from her long time coaches Kathleen Raine and David Wightman.
